ICSI Treatments

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, otherwise known as ICSI, is a specialised technique that can be part of your IVF treatment at The Fertility Centre. ICSI is commonly used to overcome male related fertility issues, such as low sperm count or poor sperm motility.

ICSI treatment at The Fertility Centre is managed by experienced fertility specialists supported by an expert team of scientists and nurses. Backed by Australia’s number one fertility group, we offer affordable ICSI with proven success rates.

What is ICSI?

ICSI involves a scientist selecting a single sperm and injecting it into the egg to cause fertilisation. With standard IVF, the sperm and the egg would be left to fertilise in the laboratory without direct intervention from a scientist.

If you access ICSI treatment at The Fertility Centre will undergo a standard IVF treatment cycle from start to finish, overseen by a fertility specialist. The only difference in treatment is the laboratory procedure performed to fertilise the egg.

Your ICSI treatment at The Fertility Centre is managed by experienced fertility specialists supported by highly trained embryologists.

What are the success rates of ICSI?

IVF with ICSI is one of the most common techniques used in fertility treatment.

ICSI is most successful for couples where fertility issues are related to the male partner. Where there is a low sperm count, or sperm motility or morphology issues, the sperm simply cannot reach or fertilise the egg without intervention. ICSI solves this issue by directly implanting the sperm into the egg, and then transferring the embryo back into the uterus. Many thousands of babies have been born worldwide since ICSI was introduced.

At The Fertility Centre, we offer ICSI treatment with proven success.
