Morning Clinic Updates in NSW
To help make morning clinic visits calmer and more predictable, we’re making a small change to how our morning clinic runs.
This update has been shaped by patient feedback and is focused on improving the overall clinic experience.

- Patients needing a blood test only can attend at any time between 7:00 am and 9:00 am

- Main clinics will be able to have an unlimited amount of patients in each session
- Satellite and smaller clinics will have a set agreed amount of patients in each session
- Within each session, patients are seen in the order they arrive for that session
Why has this change been made?
We have decided to introduce sessions to improve our booking system so patients are seen in a timely manner.
We are committed to enhancing your patient experience, and we are trialling this new system to address feedback about waiting times.
But I need to be seen at 7am?
We understand that you may have work, family or travel commitments.
If you need to be seen as early as possible:- Please ask to be booked into Session 1 (7:00–8:00 am) at your clinic
- Arrive at the start of your session window if you need to leave quickly
- We will see you as soon as we can within that session, in order of arrival
We are booking a clear maximum number of patients in each session so that your waiting time can be kept as reasonable as possible.
We understand and support that you have other commitments. What if the session is full?
To keep waiting times safe and fair:
- Each session has a maximum number of scan appointments that we can safely see
- If your preferred session is full, we will offer you the other session or, where possible, another clinic with availability
- In some cases, we may need to book you for the next suitable day if safe to do so
This helps us avoid over-crowded waiting rooms and long delays for everyone.
I am attending Session 1 even though I am booked into Session 2
If you are booked into Session 2 but arrive during Session 1:
- Our team will explain which session you are booked into and may ask you to wait until Session 2 starts before checking you in
- This is to keep things fair for patients who are booked into the earlier session
If you believe there has been a booking error, please let us know so we can check your booking details and update our records if needed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your nursing team, we’re here to support you.
