IVF Costs & Fees

At The Fertility Centre, we are committed to providing access to some of the most affordable IVF treatment in Australia.

A team of fertility specialists manage your care and your out-of-pocket costs are a fraction of what you would pay at other IVF clinics. Backed by Australia’s largest IVF group, The Fertility Centre is the smart choice for affordability and reputable results.

Medicare, bulk-billing & IVF

Bulk billing is a payment option under the Medicare system of universal health insurance in Australia, where your health services provider directly receives the Medicare rebate as full payment for their services. This means you are not required to pay any up-front costs for bulk billed services. Whilst the cycles themselves are bulk billed, it is important to be aware that eligible patient's will still have some out of pocket expenses, as some expenses aren't covered by Medicare. These include fees for hospital procedures, some pathology tests and your medications. Out of pocket expense for patients at The Fertility Centre are $1,500 for an IVF cycle and $1,000 for a frozen embryo transfer cycle.

If you are Health Care Concession card holder, the cost of your IVF cycle through The Fertility Centre will be even lower. Find out if you are eligible for a Health Care Concession card.

How much does an infertility assessment cost?

Infertility Assessment (Male & Female) - Bulk Bill plus the cost of an AMH

This includes your initial consultation to discuss your medical history and the coordination of your male and female fertility tests. We bulk bill all possible blood tests and the ultrasound to ensure you receive a thorough assessment at an affordable rate.

A fertility assessment can identify why you are not falling pregnant, and help our experienced fertility specialists determine the best treatment option to help you fall pregnant faster.

How do we make IVF affordable?

The Fertility Centre makes IVF more affordable by:

  • By bulk billing most blood tests and ultrasounds: If you are eligible for Medicare rebates and hold a current Medicare card you can receive the full benefit of bulk billing.
  • Having our experienced fertility specialists consult on a rotational basis: You will not always see the same specialist at your appointments however each of our specialists has extensive knowledge in infertility, investigations and IVF treatment.
  • Sharing a large part of your IVF journey with our experienced nursing team: Dedicated support is provided throughout all your appointments, from your first nursing appointment, blood tests and scans, to treatment options, as well as costs will be explained.
  • We do not treat complex fertility issues such as those couples requiring donor sperm or for women aged 46 or over

What’s more, our model of care means there are no additional out-of-pocket costs such as general practitioner appointments, fertility specialist appointments or counselling if Medicare eligible.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to access a little "extra help" to conceive without the concern of stretching your finances, whether it’s your first IVF cycle or whether you’ve previously undergone unsuccessful IVF at another clinic.

IVF with no private health insurance

During IVF treatment your private health insurance can only be used to help cover Day Hospital and anaesthetist fees associated with the egg collection.
